  1. Make ready 2 cups basmati rice
  2. Get 1/2 cup frozen green peas
  3. Take 1/2 cup soya chunks
  4. Prepare 2 medium size tomatoes chopped
  5. Take 2 orange carrot grated
  6. Make ready 1 beetroot
  7. Prepare 1 large onion cut into fine slices
  8. Prepare 2 eggs(optional)
  9. Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
  10. Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
  11. Make ready 2 green chiilies
  12. Take 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  13. Make ready 1/4 tsp black powder
  14. Make ready 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  15. Make ready 1 tsp sesame seeds roasted
  16. Prepare Salt as taste
  17. Make ready 1/4 cup oil
  18. Take 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  19. Take 2-2 pinch food colour– red, yellow, green, orange
  20. Get Water as required

Making colorful and scented rice for preschool. When I get started on something - I just keep going until I have exhausted all the ideas I can come up with.. Or until all my dishes are dirty or until I run. Red rice, black rice, and purple rice all feature unique pigmentation in the bran.

Instructions to make Colourful rice:
  1. First wash the rice and soaked into water for half hour.
  2. Take a pan add oil heat it and fry the soya chunk.when it turns brownish take out from the oil and keep aside.in the same oil fry the onion untill it brown and keep aside. Take out the oil from pan.
  3. In the same pan heat the 3 tsp oil add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute few seconds then add tomatoes and half onion which is fried. Add salt as taste then cook it for 2-3 minutes then crush the fry soya chunk and add it.add 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and garam masala and add little water cover and cooked 4-5 minutes or untill tomato and soya chunks becomes soft.transfer into a plate and keep aside.
  4. In the same pan add 2 tsp oil heat it add fry onion 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, saute and add slit green chillies.add salt and little water cooked it for 4-5 minutes.transfer into a bowl and keep aside.
  5. Now grate the beetroot and add little salt and black pepper powder, chilli flakes mix well.in the pan add 1 tsp oil and heat it add the beetroot and cooked for 2 minutes. Keep aside
  6. Now in a vessel take water add 1+1/2 tsp salt,1 tsp oil and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds add the soaked rice and cooked it completely done.when rice is cooked turn off the flame.meanwhile the rice cook take a bowl beat the egg add little salt and fry it and mix it like egg bhurji.keep aside
  7. In different bowls mix the food colour with little water.
  8. Now divide the rice into five equal portions.add red colour in one portion, green in other, orange in another and yellow in the fourth part. The white part of rice is leave as it is. Take the red part of rice add beetroot mixture and mix well lightly.keep aside. Take green colour rice and add the peas mixture well.keep aside
  9. Take orange colour rice add the grated carrot and mix well. Take white part of rice and add egg mix well. Take yellow rice and add roasted sesame seeds.
  10. Now take a bowl and spread one layer of rice press well with a spoon or spatula then again spread other colour of rice and in the same way layered the colour of rice one by one of ur choice. Press each layer very well. Now transfer into a plate very carefully. Serve hot with curd and salad.
