The ingredients needed to make Palak Rice:
  1. Take 3/4 cup basmati rice
  2. Get 1 cup finely chopped spinach leaves
  3. Take 1 Onion sliced length wise
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp ghee
  5. Get 1 tsp cummin seeds
  6. Get 2 cloves
  7. Take 1 cinnamon stick
  8. Make ready 2-3 peppercorns
  9. Prepare 2 cardamoms
  10. Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  11. Take 1 tsp green chillies ginger paste
  12. Take to taste Salt
  13. Make ready 11/2 cup hot water
Instructions to make Palak Rice:
  1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 15 minutes.
  2. Peel and finely chopped spinach leaves in chopper. Peel and finely sliced onion lengthwise.
  3. Boil water for cooking.
  4. In pan pressure cooker add, heat ghee. Add cummin seeds as splutter add cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamoms. Add onion slices and saute for 2 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric powder and green chilli ginger paste, chopped spinach leaves and rice. Saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Add hot water, salt and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Let steam escape before opening the cooker lid.
  7. Serve/ Relish Delicious Palak Rice in dinner.
