The ingredients needed to make Carrot Tomato Rice:
  1. Make ready 1 cup Basmati Rice
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup carrot, chopped
  3. Take 1/2 cup Tomatoes, chopped
  4. Make ready 2 Tbsp Ghee/Oil
  5. Get 1 Tbsp Cumin
  6. Take 1 Tsp ginger garlic paste
  7. Take 1 Tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  8. Get 1 Tsp Pav bhaji masala
  9. Make ready 2 Tsp salt
  10. Get 1 Tsp garam Masala
Steps to make Carrot Tomato Rice:
  1. Wash the rice and parboil it. Then drain the rice once it is 70% cooked. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat Ghee/oil then add cumin, carrot, ginger garlic paste and tomatoes. Saute it for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  3. Add little water almost 2 Tbsp then add red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala and saute'. Then add salt and garam masala. Mix everything well.
  4. Time to add in the parboiled rice. Mix it well. Add little water if required. And cover it and steam it for 10 minutes on a flame.
  5. After 10 minutes remove it from the flame and serve it with any curry or pickle. Drizzle some ghee over it. Enjoy this warm winter treat and stay healthy.
